Director of Project Management
BioTalent are partnered with a fast-growing Biopharma CDMO to seek an experienced Director/Senior Director of Project Management to lead and strengthen biopharmaceutical project delivery capability. This is a senior leadership role with accountability for end-to-end project execution, client engagement, and the ongoing development of a robust, scalable project management framework within a CDMO environment. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery Develop comprehensive project plans and implementation schedules aligned to client requirements, internal technical capabilities, and production realities. Define clear project objectives, task ownership, timelines, and resource requirements. Drive disciplined project execution, tracking progress in real time and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule. Project Oversight & Risk Management Lead regular project governance meetings and status reviews. Identify, escalate, and resolve risks and issues promptly to minimise impact on timelines, quality, and cost. Manage change control throughout the project lifecycle. Cross‑Functional Coordination Act as the central coordination point across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain. Ensure timely availability of people, equipment, and materials to support successful project execution. Client & Partner Engagement Maintain close, professional relationships with clients and external partners. Provide clear, timely communication on project progress and key milestones. Manage client expectations and respond effectively to evolving project requirements. Project Management Systems & Process Development Establish, standardise, and continuously improve the biopharmaceutical project management framework. Develop and implement project management processes, standards, and governance models to enhance consistency, transparency, and professionalism across the organisation. Team Leadership & Development Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing project management team. Implement training, performance evaluation, and development plans to strengthen technical and leadership capability. Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree or higher in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Pharmacy, or a related discipline. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may be considered. Significant project management experience within a biopharmaceutical CDMO environment. Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements and guidelines (GMP, ICH, FDA, EMA); experience supporting regulatory submissions and GMP inspections is highly advantageous. Fluent in both English and Mandarin , with the ability to conduct technical and commercial discussions and produce project documentation in English.
